International Boxing Hall of Fame
PURPOSE:
Event Ambassadors assist the International Boxing Hall of Fame staff and volunteers with the set-up for special events including the International Boxing Hall of Fame Weekend and Induction Ceremony. The ambassadors will act as hosts, assist inductees and distinguished guests, and provide services where needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist with day-of event preparations, including decorations, parade duties, ceremony duties, and other light set-up duties

Assist with guest check-in and registration
-
Direct guests to various event locations around the International Boxing Hall of Fame venue

Answer general guest inquiries

Monitor galleries, as well as guest behavior for safety and proper exhibit usage

Other duties as requested by the Special Events Volunteer Staff

Be knowledgeable about safety and emergency procedures

Be knowledgeable about the inductees and their histories
-
Stay knowledgeable of current exhibitions, theater shows and events
IMPACT GOAL:
Maximize guest experience by providing excellent service during the International Boxing Hall of Fame special events.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Event Ambassadors will participate in and successfully complete the International Boxing Hall of Fame Event Ambassador Badging Program.
Ambassadors must:

Be energetic, outgoing and friendly

Have an understanding of hospitality, customer service and/or event planning

Present a professional appearance

Be reliable, punctual, honest and friendly

Have the desire to interact with staff and guests from diverse backgrounds, being courteous, professional, patient and respectful at all times

Have excellent communication skills and act with diplomacy and tact

Be able to succeed in a sometimes crowded, noisy environment
