Digital Badges and Credentials

How can Digital Badges and  Credentials help you with your future goals?  You have skills and achievements beyond what shows up on your report card. Digital Badges are one way that the Canastota Central School District  gives you credentials that recognize your strengths and accomplishments setting you apart from other students in the region.

Digital Badges provide the evidence of what you have accomplished.  Employers and colleges will look favorably on this additional credential.

Be an active member of your school by participating in the Canastota Central School District Digital Badging Program and start preparing for your successful future.  Students earn micro-credentials or “mini degrees”  when they have demonstrated competency in specialized skills that meet industry and state/national academic standards by completing student competency records.

Digital badges are visual representations, like mini digital diplomas, of all micro-credentials earned.

Access to digital badges will be available to potential employers, colleges, trade schools, and organizations that issue scholarships in student “digital backpacks”
