Micro Credentials and Digital Badges
Micro-Credentials (Digital Badges) provide the evidence of what a student has accomplished. Employers and colleges look favorably on this additional credential.
Benefits of credentialing:
-
Students earn micro-credentials when they have demonstrated competency in specialized skills that meet both industry and state/national academic standards by completing student competency records.
-
Micro-credentials are visual representations, like mini digital diplomas, of all credentials earned.
-
Access to micro-credentials will be available to potential employers, colleges, trade schools, and organizations that issue scholarships in student “digital backpacks.”
