Senior Legacy Badge
A Senior Legacy Project allows high school students to explore their interests through experiential learning. Working individually or in a team setting, students will design and implement their own projects from start to finish.
Senior Legacy Project ideas can include any ideas ranging from, but not limited to, academic, athletic, and school/community service projects. One of the great benefits of a Senior Legacy Project is that students can apply their acquired skills, knowledge, and interests to a project they’re passionate about.
Students will have an opportunity to showcase their projects to the school and surrounding community. Underclassmen and interested community members have the opportunity to learn more about the projects that have been developed or are being planned, and the impact each one has on the surrounding school and/or community.
The goals of the Senior Legacy Project include:
· Work on a project that is satisfying and worthwhile
· Work on a project that gives a sense of closure as a student’s senior year concludes
· Connecting and sharing with school and community members
· Reflection on a student’s time spent in the Canastota Central School District
· An opportunity to explore skills and interests a student is passionate about
· Allowing a student freedom in choosing ways in which they can express themselves
· Creating a finished project that will truly be a legacy to the Canastota Central School District
· Showcasing and presenting the project to school and community members
